Pope Benedict's recent trip to the Middle East, orchastrated from behind the scenes by Cardinal Bertone; and the
new Papal Encyclical calling for a New World Order (written in collaberation with Cardinal Bertone); has catapulted
the Papacy onto the World Stage in an unprecedented manner. Just this week President Obama met for lengthy discussions
with Cardinal Bertone and afterwards had a 40 minute audiance with Pope Benedict.
I had written in the May 08 article:
The Next Pope?; that Cardinal Bertone was a man to watch. It now seems that there is good reason to stick with
that opinion.
In view of the present interest in the Papacy; and it's bursting forth into the world political
