The Signs of the Tribulation
So, what does God have to say about the end time? He has not left us ignorant. He has given us many different
signs and we should be aware of what those signs are. We should be familiar with the Holy Scriptures and with what God Almighty
says and the warnings he has provided for us. And we can start in Matthew 24, with the words of Jesus Christ. He will
claim ultimate moral authority over humanity. And he will go to the Holy Place Mat 24:15-21.
“And
Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple. And
Jesus said unto them, ‘See ye not all these things? Truly I say unto you, There shall not be left there one stone upon
another, that shall not be thrown down.’ And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, ‘Tell us: when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?’”
Notice very carefully, what the question is. They are not asking: what are the signs of the coming Tribulation. They
are asking: what are the signs of your coming, your return and the end of this age, this society. Be very careful. Consider
the question being asked here.
And Jesus proceeded to answer and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name,
saying that I am the Christ; and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled:
for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
So, we see that wars and rumors
of wars, and conflicts and disagreements among nations; are not the signs of Christ coming. They are not even the signs of
the beginning of the Tribulation. That is the natural state of affairs in this world. Wars and rumors of wars are a natural
state among human beings. We do not know the way to peace. We do not know how to get along with one another, either individually
or nationally. We fight and we seek to seize each other's assets and property and wealth and we seek to dominate and control
one another. And that is not the way to peace.
God's commandments are
the way to peace. If we lived by God's commandments and we respected each other and kept the law. If we did not steal
from each other; if we did not covet or desire our neighbor's wealth or property or land or goods; and if we kept the
commandment about not shedding innocent blood and not killing. And if we kept all these commandments of God, there would be
peace. There would be no war.
But man does not want to be submissive to God. He does not want to obey his Creator or his heavenly Father.
Man wants to do things his own way. He thinks he can have peace by controlling other people and dominating them. And that
just won't work and history has proved that out.
So, we see in verse 6 of Matthew 24. “…Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be
not troubled.” And you should not be troubled by the present distress. Do not be afraid. Do not be overly concerned.
These wars are not the sign of the end, or of the Tribulation.
When this coming war is over, we will have won a great victory. Islamic extremism will have been diminished
to the point where they will be ready for peace; and a peace agreement is coming. That is the time to be concerned, as we
shall see during this study.
This
present distress has been planned, for the last three years, and our people have been working very hard at planning and preparing
for this conflict. Everything has been carefully prepared and even the crisis which starts the conflict has been carefully
contrived. It has all been set up for a purpose and the purpose is to destroy Islamic extremism and to allow the United States,
along with the Israelis and the British to dominate the region of the Middle East.
Now, in verse 7, “…Nation shall rise against nation,
and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in various places. All these are
the beginning of sorrows.”
They are only the beginning of trials. These things have been happening all through the history of mankind. And in this
latter day, they're becoming a little bit more intense, coming a little bit more often, but they have always been
happening. And earthquakes and famines and various things like that are certainly terrible things and great trials and troubles
for humanity. But they are not the sign of the end. They are only the beginning of sorrow.
“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and
you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall
hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
This began to happen in the 1st century AD with the church. They were scattered
shortly after that day of Pentecost and they were persecuted. And because of the persecution, they fled in all directions
from the persecution; which resulted in the gospel spreading in all directions to many nations and peoples.
Some today say we have to be unified to preach
the gospel. Well, God used an exact opposite method of doing this in the past and throughout history. It was persecution and
the spreading of the people and the fleeing of the people and the dividing of the people, fleeing in different directions
to different areas, which actually spread the gospel. That is an historical fact.
You don't have to be a united, one-man power with a tremendous organization behind you to
spread the gospel. That is one method, but it is not the only method. And at that time; that is from the 1st century until
now, there have been many false prophets who have deceived many.
In verse 12, “…Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold.”
And in this world today, there is
probably more iniquity today than there ever has been in history; because we are told that abominations will overspread the
land. Our people shall be punished. They shall be corrected, as it is written in Daniel. It is the overspreading of our abominations
which will result in our correction. And as Jesus said "because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold".
It's not because we're such great, nice guys who are so wonderful and lovey dovey and sharing every good thing with
the world. It is because we are filled with wickedness and abomination and are doing evil in the sight of God.
And He's had all He can stand of it. He's
fed up with it and He says: that's enough. Time to correct these guys. And the same thing is true of the church. Their
love has grown cold because of all the evil that surrounds them and that evil has affected them and penetrated the consciousness
and the minds of people in the church and in the faith and they have grown cold. And they, by growing cold and losing love
for God, even though they have love for their group, for their church, for their minister, and perhaps for their brethren;
but they don't love God anymore. And they don't keep His commandments; because it is difficult to keep His commandments.
Instead they fudge and hedge here and there on God's
Law. They start polluting Sabbath by going out and buying in restaurants. Why? Because: “Well, that makes my life a
little more enjoyable.” But what does it do? It burdens others and that is sin. And the doing of this sin is contrary
to the commandment of God. For He says, you shall not work, nor shall you require your son or your daughter, your manservant
or maidservant or anyone who's within your gates to work. That is anyone whom you have responsibility over.
And when you are paying someone to work on the Sabbath, you are responsible for them
having done so. Whether they would do it anyway or not is immaterial. The fact is that you, by your action have become the
root cause of them doing it. You have encouraged them and suborned them to commit this sin. Therefore, you are guilty of that
sin. If they are adulterers: Will you join them; because they are going to do it anyway? The idea that they are
going to sin anyway somehow justifies us joining in with them: Is a pathetic self-serving, childish self-justification.
And it demonstrates that such people; really want to join in this sin, and DO NOT want to truly keep God's commandments.
Now, in verse 13, “But he that shall endure
unto the end, the same shall be saved.” He who puts God first, who puts God's commandments first, who does God's
will; regardless of the pressures to do otherwise, regardless of the pressure to hedge or fudge, or to pollute the Sabbath,
or break any of the commandments. He says no. I don't care what people say. I don't care what people think. I don't
care what it cost me. I'm going to please God and keep His commandments. The same shall be saved.
Verse 14, “And this gospel
of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” What
does that mean, “and then shall the end come.” What is He talking about here? Is He talking about the start of
the Tribulation? No, He isn't. Remember the question. The question was; what shall be the sign of your coming and the
end of this age, this world? And Jesus was saying; when the gospel is preached unto the entire world, then shall the end come.
That is to say, that is when I am going to come and this world is going to end.
Preaching the gospel to all nations will not be finished, will not be completed,
will not have been done before the Tribulation starts. Preaching the gospel to the world is not a sign of the start of the
Tribulation. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Tribulation. The fact is that God has two prophets coming up who will
do a job of preaching the gospel to the whole world ;and they will do it during the Tribulation. The preaching of the gospel
to the whole world; is a sign of the coming of Christ and the end of the world. It is not a sign of the start of the Tribulation.
Let's turn to Revelation 11, beginning
in verse 1. “And there was given me a rod or a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood and said, Rise, and measure
the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and
measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”
So, John is being told here to measure the temple.
And the temple we know is the Church of God. Those who have God's spirit are the temple of God because the word ‘temple,’
simply means the dwelling place of God. And if you have God's spirit, God is dwelling in you. And this measuring has the
figurative meaning that God is sifting His people. To see who will be faithful to Him and who will not. To see who is church-
centered or ministry-centered or centered on this leader or that leader and who is instead, centered on Him, His word, His
law, His commandments, and His ways. God is sifting His people right now to see who is enduring and who can be saved. Who
will be worthy to be saved, because they endure and they set their heart on the things of God.
The Holy of Holies pictures those who have direct access to the Father through
their faithfulness. The outer court of the temple you are to leave out and measure it not for it is given to the Gentiles
and they shall tread it down. And this pictures the rest of the Church of God. Those people who do not put God's commandments
first, those who do not put God first, who do not put his law first, who do not set their hearts on the things of God but
rather; are church-centered, are minister-centered, or leader-centered, or centered on the social activities, or on some other
thing, and they are not God-centered—people. They will be trodden under by the enemy, by the Gentiles and go through
the Tribulation for 42 months.
So, we see Revelation chapter 11: 1 and 2, pictures a physical temple in which the inner court, the Holy of Holies is measured.
Now, there is no physical temple today. It is a spiritual temple. God is dwelling in His people. That is the spiritual dwelling
or temple of God.
And the Holy of Holies,
the holy place refers to those people who are having a strong, good, and proper relationship with God, who are putting Him
first, putting His commandments first, and putting His word first: they are the holy people and they have access to the Father
through the atonement made by Jesus Christ and through the repentance of their sins and through the diligent seeking of their
God. They are represented by the holy place.
And the
other people in the church; that is, those people who are attending services because they meet Uncle Albert there or Aunt
Frances, those people who are going for social reasons, who are going because they revere the minister or the leader, those
kinds of people who do not put the commandments of God first, who do whatever the minister says without checking up on him
from the Word of God, those people are the outer court of the temple and they will be trodden now of the Gentiles for 42 months,
they will be in the Tribulation.
In verse 3, “…I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty
days, clothed in sackcloth.” And the term sackcloth just means humility before God and mourning for all the evil in
the world and for all the evil that has come on the world.
And they shall prophesy for 1,260 days, which is 42 months. These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks
[lampstands] standing before the God of the earth, which is mentioned in Zachariah.
But I'm not going to go to Zachariah because this is not specifically about
the two prophets. I am talking about the signs of the end. And one of the signs of the end is that the two prophets will appear.
“And if any man will hurt them,
fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.”
What does that mean, that they're fire breathing dragons? No. It means at their command, by their word, fire will come
and devour their enemies. They have power over rain, to shut up the days of their prophecy, to shut up the heavens. They will
have power over waters to turn them to blood and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they
have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, shall overcome
and destroy them.
So, one of the signs of
the end and at the beginning of the Tribulation is that the two prophets must appear first. And you can read our Two Prophets page which is an audio transcript and has some graphs on it, which is probably more understandable than the
audio because the graphs are there, which you could take a look at, if you're interested specifically in the two prophets,
and the 1,335 and the 1,290 days.
But, these two prophets will be doing what? Why do they have all these powers? For one reason only, to preach the gospel
during a time, when the world is controlled by the enemy, by Satan and his forces. And he (Satan) doesn't want the gospel
preached and these two prophets wouldn't last five seconds, they would be dead. And they're being given this power
in order to enable them to fulfill the responsibility of preaching the gospel to the world. And they will also have the responsibility
of taking the church, those who are faithful, that Holy of Holies into the wilderness where they are nourished for, guess
what? Forty-two months or 1,260 days.
So, these two prophets have power and they preach the gospel. The preaching of the gospel will not be completed before the
Tribulation; and however much or however little that gospel is preached has nothing to do with when the Tribulation begins.
It has to do with when the Kingdom of God comes. Even then, the power of the two witnesses will not complete the job of preaching
the gospel.
Turn to Revelation 14:6.
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto those that dwell on
the earth, to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, give glory to him; for
the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And
there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of
the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship
the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath
of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone
in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.”
Here we have three angels sent with the gospel of Jesus Christ and the gospel
of God and the gospel of Kingdom of God and their message is love God, worship him, obey him, keep his commandments, and turn
your backs on the satanic Babylonian system lest you be partakers of her plagues. The gospel of the coming Kingdom of God
and the gospel of repentance from sin and the gospel of repentance and reconciliation or of keeping the commandments of God
and entering into a relationship with God.
There are angels still to come after the two prophets [between the resurrection and the coming of the Kingdom of God. Please
see the Marriage of the Lamb ] to complete the job of preaching the gospel. God Almighty is not going to allow anybody to be able to rise up and say,
“I didn't know. You didn't warn me.” No, the people who are living at this time are going to get a full
warning. But that warning is going to be completed right at the falling of Babylon, right at the coming of Jesus Christ, right
at the establishing of his kingdom, right at the end this world. That's when the gospel or the preaching of the gospel
will be finished. And it won't be completely finished then either. It will be finished in the world for
that time, yet their will be billions that still must hear the word in the future..
Really it'll be finished just for this age because in the new age to come,
the gospel will fill the whole earth and everyone will know it, and understand it, and believe it, and accept it; and turn
to God with the whole heart. That is to take place during the millennium and throughout eternity; after that time. So, my
whole point in all of this is that those who say that, “Well, the end can't come because we haven't done enough
gospel preaching yet or we haven't reached enough people.” Are going to be surprised.
They just don't know what they're talking
about. The preaching of the gospel has nothing whatsoever to do with the beginning of the Tribulation. It has everything to
do with the time of Christ's appearing and the end of the age. Those are two different things.
The start of the Tribulation and the time of Christ’s appearing in the end
of the age are two separate things. The gospel will not be preached to all the world for a witness before the Tribulation.
Its just not going to happen and if you think that this must be done first, then you're going to be in for a big surprise.
So, what are the signs of the start of the Tribulation?
Let's continue Matthew 24:15, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso reads, let him understand: Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return
back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days or have young children,
babes and pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.” And this was because at that time,
the gates of Jerusalem were locked on the Sabbath and people could not get out.
Verse 21, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” So, the sign given by Jesus Christ is that the Great Tribulation
will begin when the abomination, the final false prophet goes to the holy place. Now the whole mountain in Jerusalem is holy,
not just a few square yards on the top of it, the whole mountain. So, he can go up there and go anywhere and he pollutes it
and that triggers the Tribulation.
Now, there are other events involved which are going to all come together at that time, that the abomination is
going there. This visit is the sign given by Jesus Christ that the Tribulation is imminent, at the door, within hours,
if not perhaps a day; but it will be right then, right there at that time the Tribulation will begin and it will not begin
before then.
So, Jesus was plainly telling
us in verse 15 in Matthew 24, when you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel, stand in the holy place,
which is the holy mountain, whoso reads, let him understand. Then let them which be in Judaea flee. And down in verse 21,
“For then shall be great tribulation.” That is the time that the Tribulation starts.
Mr. Weinland has that happened yet? Has a great abomination
doing miracles and doing great things, gone to the holy place and has a Tribulation, an occupation of Jerusalem and Judea
begun at that time? Because that's when Jesus Christ says the Tribulation will begin and if that has not happened,
then you are wrong sir. It has not happened. The Tribultion has not begun because Jesus Christ said so.
So, Jesus was quoting Daniel. Let's go and
see what Daniel had to say. And we find in Daniel 12:11, “And from the time that the daily shall be taken away, and
the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waits
or continues, and comes to the completion of a thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Go thou thy way till the end
be: for you shall stand in thy lot, you shall rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.” That is after the end
of 1,335 days. On the very next day, you shall stand in your lot.
Now, what is this saying? It is saying that the abomination will be set up and 1,290 days later, something
is going to happen and then the saints will set up their kingdom, that is stand in their lot, at the end of the 1,335 days.
So, what does this really mean and what is this abomination?
This is explained in Revelation in chapter 13, we go to verse 11. “And I beheld another beast coming
up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” That is he looked like a very nice
and meek, godly kind of a guy. But he spoke the words of the devil. He says, “Oh, I have the right to interpret God's
law for you and you must do things the way I say. Instead of putting God's commandments first, you obey them the way I
tell you to. You believe things the way I interpret them, the way I explain them.” This has been going on for thousands
of years but there is going to be a final and ultimate deception.
This false prophet will be the climax of false
prophets and will have great power to do miracles and to decreive. He will exalt himself above God, by claiming that
he has the right to bind and loose God's word The Primacy of Peter . He will have power to go great miracles and great power to deceive. He will present himself as the ultimate moral
authority for humanity, He will sit himself in the Temple of God by claiming to be the head of God's Church, and
he will exalt himself above God by claiming the right to JUDGE God's Word; deciding for himself: What is right or
wrong!!! He will substitute his own opinions and the traditions of his church for the WORD OF GOD! 2 Thes 2:1-12
Verse 12, “…He exercises all the power of the first beast before
him [the Holy Roman Empire], and causes the earth and them that dwell thereon to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound
was healed. And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceives
them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to
them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And
he had power to give life into the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many
as would not worship itself, that is the image of the beast, those who would not worship it should be killed.”
Now, what is this: an image is simply a likeness
or a replica, a revival of an original. And this beast which is being revived is the Holy Roman Empire. You can understand
that by visiting our Revelation 17 page.
Now, this false prophet who looks like a lamb will say, “Come, bring together this new political structure in Europe.
Let us revive the old Roman system of doing things.” And we will find in Rev 17:12 that 10 independent nations
will join this system. See: The Scarlet Beast article. And this false prophet, this pope who will do great miracles and call for a revival of the church-state system of
the Holy Roman Empire. And he's going to do this and this will take a period of time.
Now, we know that the Tribulation lasts 42 months or 1,260 days. And we know that
this false prophet is in power for 1,335 days, Dan 12. So, you do the math, simple subtraction, and we know that he is set
up 75 days before the Tribulation starts.
Why then did Jesus Christ say that when you see him at the holy place, flee for your life, for the Tribulation is starting?
Simply because he has been set up somewhere else. He is set up in Rome ;and after 75 days, or at the 75-day mark, he goes
to the holy place. It's as simple as that. He needs time to call for a revival of the Roman system and time for that to
take shape and to be brought about and time for all these things to come together, then he will go to Judea.
And when he is set up, we will know. And when
he makes a statement that he's going to Judea and to the Temple Mount on a certain day, we can know in advance that the
Tribulation will start at that date, at that time when he does go to the Temple Mount. So, if he is set up on a particular
date, and a few weeks later or a month later or so on. He says, “I am on my way or I made plans to go to Judea on such
and such a date,” we know that that is the date the tribulation will begin.
So, our sign is that the abomination is set up; and then he calls for a new order
in Europe. And when these things happen, when this abomination is set up doing miracles and calling for a new order in Europe,
and when that new system in Europe begins to come about; and then plans are announced for this false prophet to go to Jerusalem:
We know that the Tribulation is beginning.
It is going to begin once he makes his trip. That is our sign. The sign is not wars, it is not famines, it is not economic
distress. Our sign is that when an abomination, a man of sin is set up over the Roman Catholic Church doing great miracles
and appears to be a nice, kind, loving, godly kind of a man but he clings to his church's traditions rather than keeping
the commandments of God. He has the power to do great miracles and probably the very kinds of miracles that Christ did as
a kind of deceptive means of claiming to be a godly person and he calls for a new order in Europe; eventually going to the
Holy Place.. We will know that the tribulation is imminent.
And when he goes to the holy place, the Tribulation will begin. That is our sign. The preaching of the gospel
is not the sign. It is the setting up of the abomination, which is the primary sign.
Now, to the second sign, the apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5. “But
of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day
of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night, they will come unexpectedly. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; sudden
destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”
Paul then proceeds to say that it will not come unexpectedly upon those who are
close to God. It will be a surprise only to the unbeliever and to the believer who is fast asleep.
For he says in verse 4, “But ye brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as a thief. You are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep; sleep in the night; and they that
be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day and of the light, be sober, putting on the breastplate
of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation
by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we are alive or dead or whether we wake or sleep, we should live
together with him.”
You
saints: Those who put God first, who love Him enough to keep His commandments, and put Him first, are not in the darkness.
You should not be taken by surprise. You know the signs, you have been warned, and if you study the Scriptures, you will be
aware of these signs. You will not have to rely on the traditions of ancient Mayans or Chinese or Swahili or anybody else.
You can rely upon the Word of Almighty God and you can put him first and believe Him and trust in what He says.
And you don't have to rely on all this superstitious
nonsense like poor Robert Thiel does [who is an expert on the teachings of ancient astrologers and prognosticators, ignorant
of the things of God]. And you will not have to rely on the fevered imagination of Ronald Weinland and others of his ilk because
you know the Scriptures.
And you are grounded upon the
foundation of the word of God. It will not come as a surprise to you because your eyes are open and you know the signs. And
you put God first and He loves you, because you love Him, and you love each other. You love God and God loves you. And your
heart is turned to Him and His heart is turned to you. And He will spare you and take care of you as a Father spares His only
beloved son and as a young bridegroom cherishes His young bride.
God is not weak, nor is His arm short that He cannot deliver you. He will deliver His people,
who praise His name and who put Him and His word first and stand on His commandments. He will spare those who love Him. And
they will not be without a warning. And they will know the Scriptures.
Verse 3 of 1 Thessalonians 5, “You know perfectly well, as verse two, that the day of the
Lord comes as a thief in the night, that is; to the people of this world. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; sudden
destruction shall come upon them. So, the second primary sign is that peace and safety will be declared. It will be achieved.”
The people of Israel are experts in matters of
war and security, and they know full well what they're doing. And they are not going to declare that peace and safety
has been achieved if it has not. They will have a deal. They will have an agreement. And they will believe, genuinely believe
that they have achieved peace but it will not last. It may not last even a few days because it is written right here that
when they declare it, sudden destruction shall come upon them.
There are those who have a certain idea about the 70 weeks prophecy and they say that this prophecy
means that the false prophet will make a treaty with Israel for 7 years, allowing them to start sacrifices and after 3 1/2
years, war will break out.
Tell
me, what does 1 Thes 5 say? It says, war, sudden destruction will come immediately, not 3 1/2 years later.
Those who have this idea about the 70 Weeks, do not understand the 70 Weeks Prophecy. They do not understand the daily sacrifice
which is explained on our ashininglight.info Web site. And they do not understand the Scriptures. Destruction will come immediately,
suddenly: When peace and safety is declared; not 3 1/2 years later.
So, now have two primary signs. One: the setting up of the abomination, the false prophet; and
two: a declaration of peace and safety. Now, we all know that it takes a little negotiation, a few talks and some effort to
achieve an agreement on peace and safety. So, when we see people talking seriously about peace and when we see that they made
a deal and they're ready to sign a deal, we know that when they sign it, they will declare peace and safety has been achieved,
so there is a sort of a lead up to this declaration.
And we will be able to know by watching carefully the signs of the times, and the peace talks and so on, we
will be able to follow this lead up and we will know when they are about to declare peace and safety. Therefore we will know
when the Tribulation is about to begin.
These signs: The setting of the abomination; his calling for a new order in Europe; and that coming to pass: the start of
God’s two prophets and the declaration of peace and safety, as this abomination visits the Holy Place. These signs are
our primary signs.
There is still another
sign, and that is in Luke 21 where it is written, when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that the desolation
thereof is near. This does not have to be, or mean, hostile armies. It can be armies of peacekeepers charged with enforcing
the peace agreement. They could be brought in as an International Force to enforce the agreement and Israel could, for some
reason in some way break the agreement and cause this International Force to act against them to enforce the agreement.
One can speculate about any number of possibilities.
Settler hostility, settlers attacking the international force, an attack on the false prophet when he goes to Jerusalem. A
change in the government of Israel and they renege on the agreement. There are all kinds of possibilities involved.
Just because an agreement is signed and just because
peacekeepers are brought in, does not guarantee you that there will actually be peace. Remember that wars and rumors of wars
or famines or economic distress are not the signs that the Tribulation will begin.
The signs that the Tribulation will begin are: the setting up of the abomination,
the establishment of a new order in Europe, the surrounding of Jerusalem with armies, the appearance of God's prophets,
a declaration that peace and safety has been achieved and a visit by the abomination to the Holy Place..
In order for an agreement on peace and safety,
it is clear that there must be a war in the Middle East first. And this war is for the purpose of reducing Hamas, Hezbollah,
and Iran; to set the conditions for a peace agreement.
This war is not the tribulation and we will not lose this war, because it has been very carefully prepared
for and carefully planned, for a number of years, at least three years. And the conditions are now set for that war; and when
it comes, there will be a victory and the whole balance of power in the Middle East, in the region; will be changed and the
conditions will be set for a peace agreement in the region.
All
of these threads are coming together at the same time, which is perhaps another indication. A peace agreement will happen.
The false prophet will be set up. A new order in Europe will take place and armies, probably peacekeepers, will surround Jerusalem
as well as probably surrounding the rest of Israel, being deployed in Lebanon, the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip as well.
So, this situation is rapidly developing now.
Whether it will happen this year or next year or whenever, we do not know specifically. When this false prophet is set up
doing miracles, we can then know that in 75 days, the Tribulation will begin. Until he is set up, we cannot know this for
sure and for a fact. So, just be patient. Take a look, watch. Be very careful. Stand on the Word of God. Stand on the Holy
Scriptures. Put God first. Keep His commandments and you will be the children of the light and of the day and you will see
these things happening and you will understand what is happening and you will know when these things are happening. How they
will work out and what you need to do about it.
Be the children of the day and of the light by always putting God first and by standing on his word and not
on the traditions of some ancient Chinese philosopher or Catholic teacher like Nostradamus. No, stand on the Word of God and
do not commit spiritual adultery by standing on the words of commandment breaking, God despising people,
who may say they love God but they despise what God says and will not do it. Such people are ignorant. They do not know the
things of God. They are not subject to God and they should not be listened to.
Put God first. Stand on His Word. Stand on His commandments and stand on His warnings, and you shall
truly be the children of light.
So, the specific signs of the beginning of the Tribulation are in order. One, the setting up of the abomination, the false
prophet. Two, his call for a new order in Europe and the development of the new Holy Roman Empire. Three, the setting up and
the empowering and the beginning of the ministry of the two witnesses, the two prophets of God. Four, the movement of armies
to surround Jerusalem and Judea, probably armies of peacekeepers. Five, a declaration of peace and safety and immediately
on the heels of that, at about the same time, the visit of this false prophet, this abomination to the Holy Place. Then the
Tribulation will break out immediately.
Those are the signs of the start of the Tribulation. We need not depend upon the traditions of ancient philosophers and
God rejecting, law rejecting, commandment rejecting men. We need only look to our God and stand on His Word.
