HISTORY

After spending a lifetime fighting against the Primacy of Peter heresy, Herbert Armstrong did an about turn and accepted this teaching at the end of the sixties or in the early seventies.  This is clear history that no one can honestly deny. At the Feast in 1976 it was announced in all churches that HWA was the heir of Peter and had the power to bind and loose any teaching or judgment in the church.

This set the stage for the Tkatch changes.  This doctrine empowered Herbert or his successor [Tkatch] to make any changes that they wished.  Since then, those who desired to remain loyal to the teachings of Herbert Armstrong; were placed in the ridiculous position of rebelling against his primary teaching [the Primacy of Peter], to remain loyal to his other teachings!  Not even blinking at this double think, they turned against Joseph Tkatch; who had been the chosen successor; and set themselves up independently; proclaiming the doubletalk that they were only being loyal to Herbert W Armstrong.

The fact is; they coveted the power of the Primacy of Peter heresy for themselves, while knowing full well that it was a false teaching.  Most of the major groups claim this power for themselves.  They want control and personal domination over God’s people.  This is why they will hate anyone who comes teaching Personal Responsibility and begins to turn people back toward God.  Such a Godly teaching cramps their style and interferes with their power. THE FALLING AWAY

The great falling away began in earnest with the acceptance of the Primacy of Peter heresy, because this teaching exalted HWA above God!  It made him the judge of God’s Word.  It reversed roles: Instead of being judged by God’s Word; Herbert was now a judge OVER God’s word; deciding for himself what he would bind or loose!  This cut him OFF from Almighty God, but it gave him absolute power over those who accepted this heresy.

Immediately he began to water done the teachings of the scriptures, to attract more supporters and to become more acceptable to society.  He even tried to become a friend of this world! First was the Sabbath.  Before the late sixties it was unthinkable to enter a restaurant on the Sabbath. Then came Divorce and Remarriage, the back and forth on makeup to suite his new bride, resisting the authority of the state, personal extravagance; and all the time, the bullying of the people got worse and worse.

When Herbert died; all thought things would go on as before. They didn’t.  Joseph Tkatch took Herbert’s watering down of doctrine even further.  Senior pastors, wanting to be loyal to the existing regimen, rebelled.  Rejecting the position of Tkatch as the properly appointed successor they seized the opportunity to build their own churches.  Strangely they maintained the Primacy of Peter in most of their groups; presenting themselves as the Peter; while rebelling against the principle by not accepting the Tkatch changes.  In all this: WHO WAS LOYAL TO GOD?

Many of these men have held to Herbert’s other teachings; that is, they have stood on the watered down versions presented by Herbert himself.

THE COMING TEST

These men all claimed to be loyal to the teachings of Herbert Armstrong.  They claim that one must believe the Bible as explained by Herbert W Armstrong.  In doing so they condemn themselves;  for they rebel against his lawful successor and against his Primacy of Peter teaching, which they also claim to accept.   

ALMIGHTY GOD DOES NOT CARE WHO SUPPORTS THE TEACHINGS OF HERBERT W ARMSTRONG.  HE DOES CARE ABOUT WHO IS LOYAL TO ALMIGHTY GOD!!!

We are NOT to understand the scriptures as explained by some Man.  We are to test the teachings of ALL men by the Holy Scriptures!!!

These folks have things backwards!!!

Now, a new generation has risen up.  In the two main groups United and Living there are tremendous power struggles going on.  In Living several men are jockeying for position to succeed Roderick Meredith.  This group is kept together only by the mystique of Meredith and his ordination by Herbert Armstrong.  

People in these Groups [Living and United, ECT.] are accustomed  to core doctrines being watered down, over and over: large numbers now want to go all the way and be accepted by society like the Tkatch people.

The anti COG Blogs have been commenting on the power struggle in United for months. They choose to present this as a struggle between progressives and the older Armstrongist elements. In fact: what is happening is a repeat of the Tkatch days.  A new generation has risen up in United which has no loyalty to the core doctrines of the Church [Sabbath ECT]. And like Tkatch they are ready for changes to core doctrines.

These men see themselves as being loyal to "the church" [which is what they have been taught to be].  They are NOT loyal to Almighty God and the Truth of Holy Scripture.  They are loyal to the corporation that pays their wages and fills their bellies!  See the link about the True Church of God  and view the indented articles under this one on the Nav Bar for: The Truth about Church Government and Ministerial Authority.

They want to do what THEY THINK IS RIGHT; they have no concern for what GOD SAYS IS RIGHT.  They want things done their way; to get acceptance, to get a bigger following, to have a bigger paycheck!  And because they have no faith in the future!  They think: God has delayed his coming and the COG membership is getting older; the future is bleak.  They have LOST THEIR WAY.  They have LOST SIGHT OF GOD and are leaning to their own understanding.

2/3rds to 3/4ths of United Church of God ministers now have no loyalty to core doctrines and are pushing for change.  They are now ready to emulate Joseph Tkatch and are struggling to take over.  They are likely to succeed.  God will test and sift his people to determine who: WILL BE LOYAL TO HIM AND WHO IS JUST LOYAL TO A MAN!

The Lord HAS NOT DELAYED: everything is going according to his plan.  He WILL COME when HE SAID!  When ALL the Biblical signs are present, and NOT before.

WHEN HE COMES: WILL HE FIND ANY FAITH ON THE EARTH?  WILL THERE BE ANY LOYAL TO HIM; AND NOT DECEIVED BY WICKED MEN; AND LED AWAY FROM LOYALTY TO ALMIGHTY GOD? 

The brethren have been asleep. They have allowed themselves to be deceived into doing whatever men say; without any regard for the Commandments of God.  It is TIME TO WAKE UP!  The doctrines on Sabbath, Holy Days, D & R, ECT has been so watered down that they bear little resemblence to the word of God.  Soon these groups will be reduced to a social club without core doctrine or Godly absolutes

GERALD FLURRY

Gerald is insistent that Iran is the King of the South and will be defeated by a rising Europe to start the great tribulation.  Iran will suffer major damage, defeat and have a Regime change months before Europe rises up!  Gerald insists that Herbert is the Elijah that restored ALL things and then admits that he did not restore ALL things; in a classic example of double think-double speech. David Pack

Dave demands absolute loyalty to himself, instead of to God. He has forced his supporters to make such a major commitment to him; that they will accept anything instead of backing out now. The only thing that can save most of them is the great tribulation.

BRETHREN, a major crisis is coming in this world and it is coming on the Church of God. Once again, Almighty God is preparing to shake and sift his people. God NEEDS TO KNOW: WHO WILL BE LOYAL TO HIM!  He is separating out his loyal Philadelphians.
