This is a list of dates for the Annual Biblical Holy Days which is based upon the first
potential visibility of the New Moons as the beginning of each Biblical month.
Isaiah writes
that in the Kingdom of God; ALL FLESH will be required to worship on the New Moons and Sabbaths IS 66:23. Zechariah
writes that all nations will be required to observe the Feast of Tabernacles Zech 14:16-19. Since this is obviously
God's will, this is what His people should be doing! These dates WILL often differ with the Calculated Rabbinic
Calendar. Please read
THE BIBLICAL CALENDAR page to understand this subject.
These
dates were calculated using a very accurate program designed by Bruce Armstrong. Nevertheless, they should be confirmed by
observation whenever possible. We publish the New Moon sightings beginning each month on our NEWS page. Since the first
day of the Seventh Month is a Holy Day, it is recommended that two days be taken off from work. This is to avoid any
unpleasantness if the New Moon should not be sighted on the expected date.
Each year begins in the Spring when the early harvest is ripening. During some years the end of a twelfth month comes
very early in the Spring when the harvest may not be ready. In that circumstance, two lists of dates will be given;
one for the New Year beginning at the end of the twelfth month and another set of dates which allows for an intercalated month
to be added. In such years, our observers will confirm the state of the harvest before the end of the twelfth month.
This information will be published on our NEWS page.
Sometimes the moon may be observed near the equator
a day or so before it may be observed in more Northern or Southern latitudes. To resolve this and other matters we have
chosen Jerusalem as our primary point of observation, since Jerusalem will in future be the center of the Worldwide Kingdom
of God!
All dates begin at sunset the previous calendar day.
All dates are based on the calculated first visible light of the New Moon at Jerusalem, for the particular month; as was practiced
until after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
Paul
tells us NOT to let anyone condemn or criticize us for observing Sabbaths, Holy Days AND NEW MOONS, Col 2:16. Believe him!
The New Moons were observed in the days of Jesus Christ and the Temple!
